I’m a UX designer with over 6 years of experience designing enterprise, consumer, and civic tech products. I bring a thoughtful, systems-minded approach to user experience—especially in complex domains like healthcare, security, education, and B2B workflows.
My UX journey began in 2014 with Designation’s UX/UI design immersive and with a self-directed, UX-focused degree at The New School/Parsons School of Design. I’ve since spent over 6 years on design teams at places like UE Group, Oracle, Claire’s, and the U.S. Department of State, gaining experience designing for enterprise, consumer, and civic tech products.
Originally from Chicago, I’ve lived and worked all around the U.S. and world, including a year studying Mandarin Chinese in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, a semester of college spent traveling around the world by boat, four months living in Latin America (Peru, Colombia, Guatemala, and Mexico), and biking across the U.S. to advocate and raise funds for affordable housing with Bike & Build.
When I’m not designing software, you can find me riding my bike, getting my hands dirty with ceramics, printmaking, and embroidery, or diving into a good book or podcast.
I’m currently open to new opportunities! If you think I’d be a good fit for a role, reach out via LinkedIn or email me at noracbenson@gmail.com.
